MERRY CHRISTMAS, HENRY by Aubrey Wynne

Henry is very shy but a very talented in the art of painting that works in a museum as a security guard and falls in love with a portrait painting of a woman sitting on a cliff by the ocean. Henry’s obsession lasts over ten years as he has his breaks and lunches near the painting and speaking to her as if she can hear his every word. What worries Henry is the drab and depressing background on the canvas he considers too dark for the lovely face of the woman and being the gifted artist he is, Henry has an idea for the woman and her surrounding background that has mesmerized him for so long. With surprising results, the painting becomes a crowd pleaser with no one realizing or recognizing its beauty beforehand, but his best friend Melinda does after Henry disappears.

Merry Christmas, Henry is a heartwarming short story of a shy but gifted man who takes his talent and uses it where and how he knows best. Aubrey Wynne shares a short story of undying love that warms the heart for the main character who is content in his life. This novel is well worth the read to place on your next to read list for the fall and great as a gifting opportunity.
