Does love really last forever? Sutton Mansfield will find out
the answer soon enough. She is returning home to handle the estate of her
mother Constance, a novelist, whom was killed in a hit-and-run accident. As of
yet, there are no clues in the unfortunate tragedy.
Declan returns home from Italy to be by Sutton’s side. He is a
childhood friend and ex-boyfriend. After Sutton turning down his proposal of
marriage, Declan had left and traveled abroad.
Peter, police officer and longtime family friend, believes
Constance was murdered but has no solid proof. He knows there have been other
homicides that somehow connect, but cannot put his finger on it.
Sutton finds a key which does not fit anywhere in the house. This
is seems unusual, since her mom is meticulous about everything. Declan helps
her search for the keyhole that fits the key. He finds a secret drawer inside
the desk and sees an unpublished manuscript within.
As Sutton and Declan begin to read the manuscript, in between
visits from family and friends, it reveals secret truths her mother kept for
all of her life. Constance leaves her best-unpublished novel ever.
Tess Thompson’s story of past love lost is a winner. The novel
is a love story within a love story. Get your snacks and hankies ready for a
book you will not be able to put down, until it has finished.
